A Scots-Italian, living & working in France since 1995, Steven is a qualified secondary school teacher, adult educator, and online course developer. He has been living with chronic heart failure since June 2010 and is implanted with a CRT-D. Steven is a founding member and president of AVEC, a patient-led, heart failure support & advocacy association. He holds national certificates in THERAPEUTIC PATIENT EDUCATION, (practitioner & program coordinator).

A “Patient Expert” he regularly co-facilitates TPE workshops at the local hospital and more recently intervenes in the university programs for medical and nursing students. He has a keen interest in digital health solutions and their integration in a blended healthcare solution and education.His collaborations are at local, national, and international level, including medical establishments, associations, medical societies, and numerous industry advisory boards.
