Professor Jürgen Floege is senior professor at the RWTH Aachen University Medical School in Germany. He is a former executive council member of the International Society of Nephrology (ISN), the European Renal Association (ERA), and KDIGO.

He currently coordinates the KDIGO world-wide guidelines on the management of glomerular diseases together with Professor Brad Rovin. Professors Richard Johnson, Marcello Tonelli and he edit the best-selling textbook “Comprehensive Clinical Nephrology”. Finally, Professor Floege is associate editor of Kidney International since Jan 2018 and editor-in-chief of Clinical Kidney Journal since Sept 2023. His scientific work encompasses almost 800 original papers, reviews and editorials.
